During this coursework project we as a group aim to contribute equally to all aspects of the task, fair sharing of ideas, filming, research and editing for example. We all however have our own individual skills that are more developed into certain aspects of video making. We will use this to the groups advantage to gain a finished album launch that is as interesting and professional as we can make it.
In doing this we have decided that due to Katie owning a high quality camera and having background experience with photography, she can bring her equipment to filming sessions for us to take still images of our footage. This will document the process of the video and possibly be beneficial in our digipack and advert, as well as highlighting guidelines for costumes, resulting in continuity throughout the video. Katie being a sociable person will also be able to find many target audience interviewees for our research tasks to help us gain ideas of what our audience look for in CD's and videos. Laura is able to take well into consideration all aspects needed to be thought of before and during filming, such as locations, weather and times. This preparation will be constructed through planning time tables, lists and early booking of all equipment needed for filming. This will help us to be assured of organizing everything we need for when we need it to save time and allow the work to run smoothly. Alfie is interested in screen writing and therefore able to contribute fresh ideas to our narrative, making the music video more entertaining and inventive. This will strengthen the groups ideas during the storyboarding and initial ideas stages. He is also confident with the editing software used which will allow the group to create a well made video with consistent and professional looking work and a stress free editing process. With my love and experience in art and fashion I am happy to involve myself in the creative aspects of planning by including my own props and costumes for the video. This will prevent us having to search for the materials we may need and ultimately spend any unnecessary money on items that I already own. As a fan of drawing I will furthermore be willing to present any of our thoughts onto paper by demonstrating detailed drafts of initial digipack ideas, storyboards, inspirational collages or mise en scene ideas to help us provide a visual suggestion of our plans.
Although we will all introduce our own skills into this project, all group members will work as a team and be dedicated to filming, editing or carrying out audience research when ever possible as well as appearing in the video itself if needs be.
